Utah solar companies

Comparing local Utah solar companies is vital to your solar investment. We have reviewed some of Utah’s solar companies for you to compare. While we like to think we do the best job, there are a lot of Utah solar companies with whom you can entrust your solar experience. It all just depends on what you’re looking for and what you value most.

How to View Utah Solar Ratings

Good reviews are great, but a resolved bad review is also a sign of a quality solar company. If a company has a few resolved complaints, it is worth considering. However, if there are multiple of the same types of complaints, it may be best to look at other options.

Multiple of the same complaint type demonstrates that the company is unprofessional. It also shows that it doesn’t take customer complaints seriously or forgets to optimize experiences based on customer and prospect feedback. Do note, however, that most happy customers don’t get online to leave great reviews.

If a person takes the time to write a review, it is often negative, which means positive reviews have more weight. A company with five positive reviews and five negative reviews is probably a decent company.

BBB and Facebook Ratings for Solar Companies in Utah

Facebook ratings give a good idea of customer satisfaction. Most Utah solar companies don’t spend as much time trying to clean up the dirt on this platform, making it is easier to find skeletons in the company’s closet if they exist.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) rates businesses. BBB ratings come from a multitude of factors. These factors include complaint history, time in business, transparent business practices, failure to honor their commitments to BBB, licensing and advertising issues.

A business with a high BBB rating and solid customer reviews says a lot about the trade of interest.

Go Solar Group: BBB and Facebook Ratings

From the Utah solar customer success videos Go Solar Group has to the Google and Facebook reviews, which are largely positive, and BBB recognition, we are proud of the service we’ve provided our prospects and customers, but we aren’t perfect.

Go Solar Group registered with the BBB 7 years ago. We have an A rating on the BBB website.

On Facebook, Go Solar Group has a 3.8 rating out of 39 reviews. Few complaints over the past 10 years is a good sign, but like any business, there is room for improvement.

Go Solar Group provides quality customer service and wants to know if there’s a kink in their armor. If you have had a good experience in the past or would like to help us be aware of an area we can improve on, please reach out.

Auric Solar: BBB and Facebook Ratings

Auric solar registered with the BBB in 2013; they have been in business for nine years. This company has an A+ rating with the BBB, and the majority of their complaints are product and service-related.

On Facebook, Auric has a 4.4-star rating from 139 reviews. Most of these complaints reference salesmen and customer service issues.

This company does a good job, but the sales atmosphere may feel a little forceful. If you don’t want to feel pushed into a sale, this may not be the company for you.

Intermountain Wind and Solar: BBB and Facebook Ratings

Intermountain Wind and Solar have an A+ rating with the BBB. They registered at the BBB 10 years ago.

On Facebook, Intermountain Wind and Solar have a 4.7 rating. Their rating is out of 57 reviews. Only one of these reviews has a 1-star, and it was for customer service issues.

If you value customer service, for the most part, this company should be able to help you in going solar. There is a possibility, however, that you will have an outlier experience like the individual who was unsatisfied with their customer experience.

Vivint Solar: BBB and Facebook Ratings

Vivint Solar is not a BBB-accredited company. They have 756 customer complaints on the BBB site.

Their Facebook page doesn’t give the option to review. Although a big player in the alarm, security, and home IoT ventures, it has yet to prove itself a reliable staple in the Utah residential solar market.

Brio Solar Energy: BBB and Facebook Ratings

Brio Solar Energy has been in business for three years and has an A- rating with the BBB. The majority of the complaints on the BBB are service and advertising related.

The reviews on their Facebook page are not viewable. From the above, it would stand to reason that customer service is not this company’s strong suit.

What to Look for and Watch Out for In A Utah Solar Installer

Although solar is a product that is worth considering, not every company is a good fit. Some companies don’t have the right products, and others don’t have a good reputation.

Knowing what to look for in a solar company, the products they offer, and what to look for in a quote makes the customer’s solar experience rewarding instead of a struggle. To decrease the chances of having an unsatisfactory solar experience, Go Solar Group has some things to consider before choosing a solar company.

As you continue to look for a quality solar installer, keep an eye out for these red flags.

Extremely Low Bids from Utah Solar Panel Companies

If a company quotes an extremely low bid, you may want to be wary. Your Utah solar installer should know how low they can bid without going out of business or sacrificing customer experience for the gain of a low up-front price.

Certifications and Length of Time in Business

Working with a Utah solar installation company that has been running for at least three years will ensure a quality job. The longer the company has been in business with adequate certifications, the better.
