SALT LAKE CITYApril 3, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Go Solar International, an affiliate of Utah and Nevada-based home solar provider, Go Solar Group, has released its official impact statements for progress since the operation's inception in 2015.

Below is the data from Go Solar International's Impact report. These statistics are based on estimated impact for the life of a single solar light provided by Go Solar International.

  • 4,417,345 extra child study time (in hours)
  • 72% of households eliminate kerosene use with solar assistance
  • 2 hours of additional daylight per day per household
  • A reduction in particulate matter equivalent to 1,020 cigarettes
  • 2,869 solar lights installed
  • 17,472 lives improved through clean and bright light
  • $360,417 USD equivalent in Ugandan family savings
  • 2 kerosene lamps eliminated per household
  • 6,178 tonnes of black carbon emissions averted
  • 2,496 households reached with solar light
